RIM logistics Announces Executive Appointment

Logistics Tech Outlook | Thursday, July 04, 2019

ROSELLE, Ill:RIM logistics, ltd, a leading provider of global freight forwarding and third party logistics services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacques Retief, Senior Vice President, Warehouse, Distribution and Domestic Services.

Jacques Retief is joining RIM logistics from DSV, where he served as President, North America Road Group, since 2016. Prior to his tenure at DSV, Retief served as Global Vice President, Contract Logistics and Distribution IT at UTI. "RIM logistics is at a key inflection point on its upward march. With 20 years of continued organic growth, RIM established itself as a competitive player with a global footprint. In an industry that continues to be dominated by scale and consolidation, RIM is uniquely positioned to give customers the cost advantage, reach, and technology that larger players provide, while maintaining the intimate customer focus and flexibility that our partners enjoy. In that sense, RIM is large enough to matter, yet small enough to care. RIM is now setting itself up to provide additional value to our customers by becoming a full-service logistics provider, giving our customers end-to-end logistics solutions tailored to their needs by harnessing our passion for service, global reach and next generation technology. I am excited to be part of this journey at a time where the changes, disruptions and possibilities in the industry perfectly aligns with RIM logistics' growth curve and vision," said Retief.

"RIM is very excited about the addition of Jacques. We continue on our quest to be disruptive around the existing models of freight forwarding, distribution and fulfillment and how those facets of our industry work together," said Jason Steinke, Executive Vice President. "Jacques' background in technology, operations, facilities, and leadership bring instant value to our continued growth and future plans."

Jacques Retief will be based at RIM's corporate headquarters in Roselle, IL and will report to RIM logistics Executive Vice President, Jason Steinke.
