Zep Selects Transplace as its 3PL Provider

DALLAS, TX: Transplace, provider of transportation management services and logistics technology announced that Zep has selected Transplace as its third party logistics (3PL) provider to efficiently manage all domestic and international transportation activities. Transplace will employ its software-as-a-service (SaaS) Transportation Management System (TMS) to increase visibility across all business units and improve operational efficiency.

Since 1937,  has been a producer and marketer of a wide range of high-efficacy maintenance and cleaning solutions for commercial, industrial, institutional and consumer end-markets, with operations across North America, Western Europe and China. The company previously operated under a decentralized model, making communication across its supply chain a challenge. Zep engaged Transplace to integrate multiple enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems into a centralized model aimed at improving efficiency and optimizing operations. “Zep was looking to increase its visibility across its supply chain and selected Transplace due to our engineering expertise, leadership in TMS and technology solutions,” says Vincent Chiodo, senior vice president, Transplace. “Transplace worked directly with Zep Inc. to complete a network engineering analysis and capture business intelligence data to help them further collaborate, gain insight and achieve cost savings through mode optimization, while enhancing its already high level of service to its customers.”
