July - 2021 19logisticstechoutlook.comThe AX System is able to recognize two objects heading toward or endangering each other. Based on the data, it computes possible outcomes with the use of artificial intelligence and warns drivers of a potential collision with light and sound signals. Warnings follow the pattern of traffic lights: green means no danger ahead, while red alerts of a possible accident. Besides just collecting traffic data, the company helps create different reports like Near miss report, Traffic load report. "The traffic control functionality helps to manage a compound crossroad to make the traffic situation clear for all of the traffickers. For this, it uses visual and sound signal. But before it alarms, AI analyses and predict the likelihood of an accident and act accordingly," says Martina Nemes, the CFO of AX System. Further, AX can control the devices in the factory (lamps, industrial doors etc.)The AX SYSTEM is sturdy enough to resist physical impact and compact for easy handling. A clean, industrial look and functionality were the cornerstones of the design. "The sleek aluminium-polycarbonate casing provides secure protection for the electronics inside the device, making it easy to mount and repair," elucidates Peter Muranyi, CTO (hardware), AX System. The body has universal connection points to ensure the safe attachment to wires or rods that hold it above the crossings. The body hides the four-way camera system that scans the crossroads through the protective shield. Slimmed-down corners give additional protection from any unforeseen impact. The utilitarian design, with a simple interface, communicates safety and trustworthiness. Further, there is no additional equipment needed to be used on the machines/humans to use the system and subsequently, AX SYSTEM's price is independent of the numbers of workers and forklift/machines.Following the lean startup principles, AX System continuously collects customer feedbacks to learn, research, and experiment. "We consider the AX as an always developing, never ready product to which we can add additional tasks. It will able to communicate with more and more vehicles and devices," says Gabor. The company's R&D and corporate operation is supported by SzéchenyiIstván University (University of Gyr), the Quantum Leap incubator and the biggest Hungarian venture capital investor, the HiventuresZrt. One of its new development is the automatic forklift intervention which is under construction but with this AX SYSTEM will be able to automatically intervene the forklift by slowing down in case of an emergency. Currently, the company's main target area is the EU countries (primarily Hungary and neighbour countries). In a few years, it will intend for a presence outside the EU markets, mainly in Europe and the U.S. AX SYSTEM analyses and learns the environment thanks to AI and machine learning
