Agistix
A True Global Supply Chain Data Management Provider

Many companies in the supply chain space are struggling due to a lack of in-transit and spend visibility around inbound and third-party shipment activity. The fundamental challenge is caused by data fragmentation across internal and external systems, combined with a paucity of practical tools or the infrastructure required for centralizing and correlating data. Usually, most company’s IT resources are mired in internal projects to implement, integrate, migrate and support a single instance of SAP HANA, Oracle or other ERP systems, which drain limited resources and distract companies from investing their time and energy into supply chain projects.

Enter Agistix.

The company was founded in 2004 to provide clients with a true SaaS TMS for rating, booking, and tracking shipments across all modes of transportation. Agistix has built a robust platform to support the exception-oriented nature of international shipping, as well as the complexity of supplier execution for inbound and 3rd party shipping. “We take data feeds directly from our customer’s carriers and correlate, normalize and automate the data across modes without any dependence on internal IT resources or disrupting business operations,” says Trevor Read, the President of Agistix.

Agistix’s transaction-based architecture dynamically scales across all shipment modes (i.e. parcel, LTL, TL, ocean and air), multi-leg, multi-stop, international, hazmat, and other complex logistics scenarios. Agistix uses a robust, bi-directional integration layer to transform data from the most modern, or primitive, data sources across the entire transactional lifecycle from order to invoice. With this flexibility and agility, Agistix can connect to N-systems for data consumption and augmentation on a per transaction basis. “Our modern set of APIs makes any piece of data available on-demand, as clients and partners evolve their internal system’s capabilities,” states Read.

With a firm belief that data is the rocket fuel of the 21st century, Agistix’s objective isn’t to merely provide clients with shipment visibility or TMS functionality, but rather to furnish an all-encompassing ‘supply chain data management platform.’

Supply chain data is transactional, it’s changing every second. Our platform automates and correlates data from partner systems, augments information from 3rd party systems, and makes any piece of data available ‘on-demand’ to interested stakeholders. Supply chain data is the fuel of the 21st century

“Only then we can truly help clients forecast and manage freight spend, measure on-time performance, monitor supplier routing compliance, proactively manage exceptions, and make it easy for them to leverage data insights automatically,” mentions Read. Agistix partners with clients to help transform data into actionable information, and as needed, pipe data back into their internal data warehouses for even more comprehensive analysis. For example, Agistix works with a $25B aftermarket automotive parts company to not only support full TMS functionality, but also capture all shipments not booked in the TMS. We created a branded subdomain that seamlessly integrates with our APIs to make select pieces of data ‘self-serve’ to employees, suppliers, carriers and customers without logging in to yet another system. To do this As a result, within the first ninety days of going live, Agistix reduced the number of inbound emails and phones calls by more than 90 percent ~ from 900 per day to less than 100! No more logging into carrier websites, managing spreadsheets, replying to emails, etc the supply chain team now has time and the tools to proactively manage exceptions and focus on more strategic initiatives - carrier on-time performance, supplier lead-time, routing compliance, and much more.

Over the past 17-years, Agistix has helped many such clients by being very disciplined with platform architecture, flexibility and scalability. “We develop software knowing that we’re going to be the ones maintaining code and infrastructure and consequently, we’re always building for the long-term,” says Read. Shippers, carriers, forwarders, and other supply chain partners will continue updating and adopting different technologies at different rates. As a result, there will always be a need for Agistix to integrate, automate and normalize data from disparate data sources across the supply chain ecosystem.
