After earning his degree in physics with honors from Università degli Studi di Roma Tre, he began shaping mission-critical infrastructure at IBM, where he spent over a decade in roles ranging from software architect to team leader. His tenure included customer-facing leadership in the aerospace and automotive sectors and participation in international conferences as both speaker and technical evangelist.

His technical leadership deepened through roles at IBM Cloud and Microsoft, where he guided enterprise clients across Europe through the adoption of cloudnative platforms. Santoli’s expertise spans microservices architecture, serverless computing and container orchestration— capabilities that positioned him to lead Poste Italiane’s digital modernization from 2019 onward.

Now, as Head of Digital & Payments Factory, Santoli oversees a team charged with the ongoing transformation of how Poste Italiane delivers services across finance, energy, telecommunications and logistics. He plays a key role in developing and scaling systems that integrate payments and fiber connectivity. He also leads efforts to embed digital identity verification into everyday citizen experiences.
