THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING
Ali Saab, FounderAlthough many industry vertices have started adopting sustainable practices, the last mile delivery still depends on fossil fuels, which contributes significantly to CO2 emissions. The use of electric vehicles can help them meet these goals, simultaneously lowering operating costs while reducing CO2 emissions. There are many benefits to electrifying commercial vehicles, but there are also many challenges. The EV charge time must be kept to an absolute minimum, be predictable, and provide the same level of reliability as conventional fossil fuel vehicles.
Against this backdrop, U.S. based Leaf Energy turns the tide with its advanced and environment-friendly commercial electric cargo delivery solutions for last-mile delivery, lowering emissions and enabling time, money, and energy savings. “Fleet operators require electric vehicles that can get anywhere, not just on the road. We provide the most efficient, practical, and dependable commercial electric cargo delivery solutions on the market, and we’re dedicated to reducing carbon footprint while reducing the financial strain,” says Ali Saab, Co-Founder of Leaf Energy.
As a group of automotive and transportation experts, energy technology innovators, IT developers, financial advisors, and fleet management experts, their workspace began in February 2020.
To this end, Leaf Energy is at the forefront of the new electric vehicle (EV) revolution in the logistics industry and has developed the first light-duty electric vehicle, and Lithium-Ion condensed micro batteries to support its vision.
The company also developed the “Go-EV” a data-driven IoT-based analytics platform to back up its EVs, enabling fleet managers to make actionable inferences into fleet management through real-time data coming live from connected vehicles.
Equipped with high-performance Lithium-ion batteries and supported by a network of quick-battery-charge stations, Leaf Smart bikes are sustainable, low cost, and eco-friendly. The company has developed a patent-pending solution to recharge the batteries within one minute. Based on a subscription model, the quick-battery-charge stations have various innovative features for payment, including facial recognition, QR codes, and smart cards. Leaf Energy’s Lithium-Ion batteries offer 93 Miles on a single charge with a top speed of 56 Mph.
Taking convenience and flexibility the extra mile, Leaf charging stations are smartly deployed across the city with around-the-clock online performance monitoring, customer support, and a dedicated mobile app. Because of its extreme flexibility in deployment, each station operates independently and can be quickly rolled out across public places and remote areas alike.
Leaf’s smart bikes’ digital platform combines real-time communication, visibility, and analytics to streamline the logistics and save the operators and consumers time and money. With live updates, operators can track every courier in their fleet in real-time, catching exceptions early, avoiding delays, and making more informed decisions. They can also connect the fleet operator with their teams to align their decision-making through targeted updates.
A Variety of Products for Consumer and Commercial Cargo Delivery
With a focus on consumer and commercial product delivery, Leaf Energy offers four delivery-specific models: the T11, T28, T76, R8, and T-SECURE. Leaf Energy’s flagship product, T28, is designed and built to meet the “zero emissions” standard and provides a range of 93 miles and a top speed of 56 miles per hour. It is trackable 24 hours a day and linked to the operators’ actions via a live data feed, enabling data analysis and route optimization. With an inbuilt GPS, the T28 can detect congestions and suggest alternative routes to minimize the delivery timeframe. Further, improvements to the vehicle are made online via auto-updates when the vehicle is stationary, ensuring safety and eliminating downtime for the clients.
Leaf Energy’s other product, T11, is a customizable three-wheeler EV that can be used for large cargos that can be fitted with coolers if needed for certain cargo. It enables fleet operators to create their large cargo compartments with a rear doorway and a side door facilitating access to the cargo area. This will increase the amount of space available for parcel storage. T11’s three-wheel base and adaptive suspension configuration also combine safety stability, in addition to the large cargo capacity. Owing to the increased functionality, the model can be employed in various contexts, including delivery services in crowded urban areas, food vending in high-traffic regions, and trade tool transportation.
While most of Leaf Energy’s products are geared toward business solutions, T-SECURE claims a slightly different purpose. With a high resemblance to the T28 balanced cargo frame, it is primarily used by police departments for security patrols. Finally, Leaf Energy offers its T76 vehicle for local short-range deliveries that offer comparatively less range and speed than other models.
