Matt Harvey, Executive Vice President of Products and ServicesProviding customized solutions to address specific material handling requirements, Talos caters to systems integrators, serving businesses like Amazon, DHL, UPS, FedEx Express, and FedEx Ground, as well as the U.S. Postal Service. Chutes and conveyors constitute Talos’ key product offerings. The wide range of conveyor products includes motor-driven roller conveyors, powered slider beds, gravity conveyors, and power curves. Talos also offers caster and roller decking and walkways and platforms.
“Our products are engineered to address the e-commerce and parcel industry’s needs. Our engineers interact with end users to truly understand their requirements and develop customized products,” says Matt Harvey, Executive Vice President of Products and Services.
The process of creating customized products begins with an in-depth discussion. A project manager and engineer are assigned to each project, who interact with the customer from technical, as well as a project schedule standpoint. Conceptual drawings and components are presented to the customer for approval. Then, Talos’ ERP system is leveraged to determine the true cost of the product pre-production.
Before production, 3D simulations and prototypes can be sent to the client for approval. Talos also houses a product testing center at its manufacturing facilities, where clients can bring their end users to participate in the factory acceptance test.
“The quality of our products helps end users sleep peacefully at night as they know they can count on Talos to create longlasting products that are easy to install,” says Harvey.
Customers can also leverage Talos’ Field Services group, which specializes in product installation. Integrators can leverage a 3D configurator to design a conveyor system by entering key attributes. The 3D configurator provides automatic pricing, bill of materials, pulley, and maintenance pages, along with spare parts exports, making it an efficient and intuitive tool for designing conveyor systems.
All of Talos’ customers are guaranteed best-in-class services through the combined efforts of its parcel handling, baggage handling, and field services teams. Its product development and equipment solutions teams are dedicated to meeting customer needs and understanding integrators’ challenges and end-user pain points to develop creative solutions.![]()
